Question 1 had 3 parts (a), (b) and (c) - these were definitions and explains
Question 2 had 8 parts from (a) to (g) - these were differentiating between the definitions.
Question 3 had 3 parts from (a) to (c) - this involved three process models: one EPC diagram and two BPM diagrams.
Question 4 had 2 parts (a) and (b) - this involved two process models: one BPM diagram with core notations and another one with advanced BPM notations (included pools and lanes). You might as well Wiki it, too lazy to chuck a link for the meanings.
Question 5 had 2 parts (a) and (b) - this involved explaining the 'as-is" modelling which is actually simulation. A statement was given and had to justify the answer. The others involved were to know the benefits, initiatives and challenges of business process modelling.
I practically stayed for the entire 2 hours that was given because I spent way too much time on the BPM processes. Anyways I am glad it's over and done with, I guess I should enjoy my 2 week plus holiday until the results come out. Once the results come out, I update this again. with a title saying "I AM FREE FROM UNIVERSITY FOREVER". Sounds better I suppose?

Well I got my last exam on Tuesday (tomorrow) at 5.30pm - INB320 Business Process Modelling. Yesterday touched up on the review for the lecture notes as well as the tutorials, I didn't finish the tutorial questions - only managed to get up to tutorial 8. Today I finished the remaining tutorials including the exam paper (mock exam). I think I said in my previous post I started studying like 2 weeks + ago. I spent like an hour on the BPM and EPC models, I attach a sample below so you guys can see it's not easy to do.
The actual BPM diagram to assignment 2 is way longer and at least one whole page. You guys probably won't see it properly since it's so small, can't help it. Anyways back to studying I suppose. Can't wait to finish uni forever.... like i have said this before, this is my last semester.
Well it's just another week of studying preparation, finished the assignments since last Friday. Then started studying since last Friday until now. Got sick along the way which started on Tuesday, had a sore throat followed by a minor flu then a heavy flu followed by fever and headache. Now it's 98% gone, minor running nose at the moment but it's all good.
With the studies, managed to get MGB223 Entreprenuership and Innovation notes completed. Only thing I have to do out of that is do the revision questions out of the textbook. Anyways thanks Huy for coming by my place to give your textbook. I have already passed this subject, currently standing on a 52/70 and the final exam weights 30%, so aiming for a distinction (6). Currently I am studying for INB320 Business Process Modelling, I need 8 marks to pass out of 40 but the lecturer said that we have to pass the overall exam meaning that I must get a 20/40 for the exam. I aiming for a credit (5) for this subject. The two other subjects do not have exams, only assignments which have been completed and submitted.
Celebrated the girlfriend birthday on Thursday (29/10/2009), I went to pick her up from work and went to Sunnybank (Fanatastic Food) to get some of her goceries. Then went to Pinelands to have some Korean food near the petrol station, I don't know the name of it. I bought her a birthday cake (Chestnut cake) and a big cuddly rare coloured bear, I left my camera at her place on Friday by accident when I left her place. Probably will be uploaded after my exams on the 10th Nov are done.
Today marks the day of "Our Happy 1 year anniversary", we were supposed to go out today but I told her to prospone as I have to study for my exams which starts next week Saturday (7/11/09). She understood and I celebrate after I finish my last days of exams which is on the 10/11/09.
The other thing is that Jawen aka Mr Hui (my housemate and friend) went back to Hongkong today for 3 weeks. So yes kind of boring at home when I am taking a break from my studies. Anyways he deserves it, enjoy your break. I am guessing he will be missing Klubkandy for what I know, he's electronic airplane ticket says that he's coming back on the 24th Nov which means a day after KK. I can probably pick him up from my airport since I got a car.
I have been so busy with assignments, I don't really have the time to update. Well I have completed all assignments and only left with two assignments. Just finished one assignment last night and will be submitting it sooner later today. The other assignment is worth 85% and I know it's huge. Well it's 99.9% finished, it's loaded with 33 pages of information and 7500 words. Probably tonight I will start studying for the exams, two exams only on 7th Nov and 10th Nov. After that I will probably start looking for a job - full time/casual.
Besides the exams and assignments, I will be graduating soon in December. Dad is coming down and mum is a maybe if she can get a few days off and fly here, my baby is coming, Jawen and Hugo. For now I just have to study my ass off and work hard =D One thing I can let you guys know is that I finally renewed my driving license and I got a car that I can drive to uni/do the goceries or drive to the gf's place. This is only for me though.
I think that should be it now, if I got an any new updates I wil just update here.
Well my good friend, Chin Chuan that I have known for 5+ years, left Brisbane 2 years ago (2007). I have caught up with him at the start of this year in Singapore when I was down there for my uni holidays and probably won't be seeing him probably until next year or the year after. So really who knows when actually.
Had another good friend, Frank Hao who also left Brisbane at the start of 2008. A friend I have known for 5+ years, we were housemates. We played shit loads of crap back in the days, you name it - WoW (World of Warcraft), Gunbound, CS, etc. I know he left Brisbane because he fucked up uni and his mum forced him to leave. So he went to China, Shanghai to do his Hotel Management course and now he's a supervisor at a hotel in Shanghai. I defintely visit him for sure.
Another fella - Zhao Nan, thought we were only friends for 3 years. Known this guy off Frank. I still cherish our friendship even though we had our issues back then (The issues won't be mentioned). I know he fucked up his business and his life. So he went back to China for good in March 2009, we are still in contact through phone.
Mendy - another good buddy of 5+ years left recently just about a month ago. We had our fun back in the old days, played Counterstrike and all those games that we used to play. Besides the gaming, we perved on chicks (asian to aussie) when we were both single. He would give me advice if I had problems and I would do the same thing as well. He's a good mate for sure.
Lastly Serina, though I haven't know her for that long. But she seems like a great person, even though she's quiet at most times I think around me only. Lol o.O Well to be honest, her laugh is wicked. I don't know how to describe it in words. One thing I can say about her is that she sings well (sing k). She only left a few hours ago. Well I know she has something to acheive in life is to be a fashion designer. Anyways I wish you all the best in what your doing in life and all the very best over there! I miss you as a friend!
The next one that will be leaving next year would be Jawen.
I guess I have been too busy even to blog, only just noticed I haven't update for quite awhile already.
Well last week was just busy as hell I suppose, I got my license renewed - so yeah that's a good thing. I can get back to driving again, haven't touched the wheel for like 5 years. Don't worry going for some practice runs before I actually drive.
Went to meet up with my baby on Saturday in the morning to check out computers, went to Umart at Milton. That place was dodgy as, only had a couple of lappys on display. So we head to the city from Officeworks to Harvey Norman and lastly to the Apple store. Then head lunch around 4ish pm, since I didn't eat breakfast. I was kept on eating Soothers, so I guess that kept me from growing hungry. After that went to Serina's place at Indro at her place with 20 friends of hers, I was the first one to get there o.O. But didn't go to the afterparty, had other events to go to.
TAKE CARE SERINA, HOPE YOU ALL THE BEST IN TAIWAN AND HOPE YOU FUFILL YOUR DREAMS!
Then the next day - Sunday, just yesterday went to meet up baby at Central, then went to Officeworks to get her lappy. It was fairly cheap only at $979, discounted by $300 - Toshiba. If I remember the specifications of the lappy correctly was:
- PROCESSOR TYPE: AMD Athlon Dual Core QL-65.
- PROCESSOR: 2.1GHZ.
- RAM: 4GB.
- HARD DRIVE: 320GB.
- SCREEN SIZE: 15.6".
- GRAPHICS: Intel Integrated.
- OPTICAL DRIVE: Super Multi DL-DVD Writer
- COMMUNICATIONS: 802.11agn.
- OPERATING SYSTEM: Windows Vista Business (possible to downgrade to XP professional) includes the two CDs.
Well I am very surprised by the people, especially for boys and girls being well aware of random strangers that could possibly be frauds.
Back in the old days like 6 years ago, when I was just 17 people were so open. Now it's just like the whole society is fucked up in one way or another. I know the world is growing but I guess one individual can't change the thoughts of everyone. Over the past few years, you see so many newspapers saying that "Guy rapes underaged girl or have sex with underaged girls" etc etc when I was in Singapore in 2005 to 2008.
I am guessing parents actually teach their children to be well aware of these things, that's good to know. I just randomly talked to this one person I simply added just minutes ago, this person thought I was a fraud or some person i wanted to con. Hahaha. But then that person didn't clarify the whereabouts and age to me, well that's good to know as well.
DON'T SIMPLY TRUST PEOPLE OVER THE INTERNET
Well that's what my mum use to say to me when I was 17 or 18, haha. Now that I am old enough to make my decisions, I already know how to manage my ways in life. I would say being 23 turning 24 is being old enough, well I am a pretty straightforward person. So I wouldn't simply take shit from people, but if you got something to say behind my back I don't give a damn.
Moving aside, there's the river festival coming up celebrating 150 years of Queensland. So going to that with my gf and on Sunday (13/9) meet up with hugo and his gf for his gf's bday dinner probably at the valley I guess.
My good buddy Mendy (Indonesian fella) just left Brisbane yesterday for good, so when I go on holidays next year in Nov after the graduation program ends I go for a trip to Singapore, Indonesia, China and HK.
I have got my mid exam tomorrow at 6pm, still studying as usual.
- Music:wedancehard
Played 2 games of snooker, first game I owned and the second game was like a shit game.
Got home at 10.30pm >< Currently studying for my mid exam that is next Thursday at 6pm...
I am tired now maybe because of today and tomorrow gonna catch up with an old school friend that I haven't seen for like 5 years.
but this morning the weather changed heaps. It did rain last night, maybe that's why the change of weather.
Well woke up early this morning since the internet blew up on me last night, so I couldn't edit the parts that Vin sent me through email. Yeah so finished it up with Vin earlier on in the afternoon. Re-printed out the contents and references page, all together it was a 23 page assignment document. Submitted through assignment minder at the library around 1.30pm.
The INB320 Business Process Modelling assignment was a four man assignment and instead of having four people to do it, it was more like having two people doing the work. Just Vin and me doing the whole lot of the assignment, SLACK EFFORT from the other two fellas. But in our team dynamics section, we described that Vin and me did most of the work. This is what it looks like below, by the way my real name is Bernard and nickname is Bernie (Just in case some didn't know).
Name | Contribution | Tasks |
Vin | 100% (40% of total) | Report structure, cover page, introduction. Executive summary, team dynamic, Gantt chart, textual description, assumptions, references, roles specifications and BPMN experiences. |
Bernard | 100% (40% of total) | Conclusion, report structure, report conduct – team members and roles, high & low level models, BPMN experiences, assumptions, meeting minutes and role specifications. |
Ahmed | 60% (15% of total) | BPM project – related benefits & challenges, BPMN experience, introduction (partial) |
Tung | 10% (5% of total) | BPMN experience (incomplete) |
So yeah Ahmed came in and saw us during the lecture break at 4pm, he thought I was going to pity him. This is how the conversation goes outside Z block.
So I just told him "Hey me and Vin did all the work yesterday at the meeting, you wanted the meeting on Sunday and you told us you couldn't come. So we practically stayed up till 3am last night and woke up at 9am to work on the rest of the assignment" then later on I said to him "You know that Vietnamese guy, Tung, he didn't do shit for the assignment and we have to practically do his work for him. You think I ain't tired?" then the last part I told him was "If you want to stay in the group, at least do more work for the assignment at least because it ain't fair for me and Vin to finish your parts for you". Ahmed then replied with a quiet "Okay"
Anyways I am glad I got this done, now I might have to start working on the entreprenuership and innovation presentation. I am presenting this Friday >< about my innovation and I gotta start studying for my mid exam next week on the 10th Sept.
- Mood:
tired
in a different path at every angle that all leads back to the finishing line.
I have thoughts like everyone do, I want to tell people but I don't know how to share it nor talk about it.
I am fine with people gossiping behind my back because I simply don't care, even if you are a backstaber. Bad luck will be running towards your side sooner or in the late future. I believe in karma.
I don't hurt others nor do I say nasty things, sometimes it's hard to open to people because some are just so sensititve of what people say.
Yes, I know times have changed alot but sometimes you just want to leave that nutshell and never come back.
I am glad I making a huge range of friends but why do girlfriends get so bottled up because I hang out with friends rather than her?
Why must I fully concentrate on a particular person 100% to make her happy? What is your intention, don't I provide enough love and security?
